VISION BOARD 2025
I have made it back to you one last time before the end of the year and surprised myself again: two whole posts in less than two weeks (insert exclamatory remark) just WOW. If anything, I have decided that this one will be short and straight to the point if you know what I mean. Merry Christmas again and Happy Holidays.
If you know anything about me, it would be that I am always meticulously planning my life, call it my Type A personality or the compulsive need to have things go according to plan. Every new year is almost sacred to me typically around this time you will catch me talking about vision boards, plans for the new year, and every other lingo that will go with it. As we approach a new year, the opportunity to set intentions and design the life we envision becomes more compelling. One powerful tool to guide this process is the vision board. If you’re ready to turn your dreams into reality in 2025, creating a vision board can serve as a visual representation of your goals and a daily reminder to stay focused. I went on a deep dive and noticed that I had never explicitly talked about vision boards on the blog: save for a few mentions of creating mine and hitting some goals on mine. So for my newbies to the game, I will start off with what a vision board is and what it represents. A vision board is a collage of images, words, and symbols that represent your goals and desires at every point of your life. It’s a creative way to clarify what you want in various areas of your life, career, relationships, health, personal growth, and pretty much any other area of your life. The process of making a vision board allows you to channel your energy and intentions into a tangible format setting high enough goals that can only be attained by consistency and the right attitude. Wanna read up on my post about Consistency Vision board's work because they tap into the power of visualization and the law of attraction. By consistently seeing your goals, you train your subconscious mind to prioritize actions and decisions that align with your desired outcomes. Additionally, creating a vision board can be an inspiring and therapeutic activity, allowing you to dream without limits. What kind of lifestyle blogger would I be if I didn't go on to share how to get started with your vision boards? I will share 5 easy steps to getting started and finished with this mini project that will shape your 2025.
You will not always get everything you want but you have to realize that if it doesn't happen the way you wanted, it will happen better than you imagined. That's the beauty of God's plan. - Reflect on Your Goals - Begin by reflecting on what you truly want to achieve in 2025. Questions like; What milestones do I want to hit in my career? How do I envision my relationships evolving? What steps can I take to improve my health and well-being? What hobbies or skills do I want to develop? Should run through your mind at this stage. After thinking, write down your thoughts and categorize them into different areas of your life.
- Gather Your Materials - A board or sturdy surface, (corkboard, poster board, or even a digital platform), magazines, printed images, or online graphics, scissors, glue, pins, or tape markers, stickers, or any decorative items.
- Curate Your Vision - Search for images, quotes, and symbols that resonate with your goals. For instance, if your goal is to travel, include pictures of your dream destinations. If financial stability is a priority, incorporate symbols like piggy banks or bank statements.
- Organize/Arrange your board - You can group similar goals together or spread them out. Ensure the board is easy to interpret and visually appealing to you especially if you dislike clutter. Don’t hesitate to leave blank spaces to symbolize openness to new opportunities.
- Display it Prominently - Place your vision board somewhere you’ll see it daily. This could be your bedroom, workspace, or a digital wallpaper on your phone or computer. Regular exposure reinforces your commitment to achieving your goals. Periodically you can revisit to revise and assess your progress. And as I will always preach celebrate the goals you’ve achieved and update the board as needed to reflect your evolving aspirations.
You will not always get everything you want but you have to realize that if it doesn't happen the way you wanted, it will happen better than you imagined. That's the beauty of God's plan.
