Oscars, new things and my feelings LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!
You know how I always say this is not a post bla bla; well it is not a post aight
The OSCARS
Its awards season folks and if you are in tune with the world you know after The Grammys comes the Oscars. Its the 92nd academy awards in a few days and I do not know about your life but I am crazy obsessed with movies good movies I reiterate. I'm talking movies with loads of mad technology, a bit of thrill and maybe just a dash of passion because some humans can't do without and cliffhangers that will make you bolt from your seat. Now nominations are up and whether you are rooting for 'Adam Driver' for best actor in a leading role in MARRIAGE STORY or you prefer the blue-eyed, brown-haired titanic angel 'Leonardo DiCaprio' for his role in ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD you might just be surprised that a little bit of Latino is spicy enough to take an award home if 'Antonio Banderas' wins for PAIN AND GLORY. Going a little back in time to understand the sacrifices our ancestors made to avert slavery might be boring but 'Cynthia Erivo's act in HARRIET is worthy of her nomination for best actress leading role and 'Charlize Theron' is yet another worthy actress for BOMBSHELL depicting that a woman should never have to be sexualized in her place of work not for any reason because of her gender. We might be biased, but it’s also fun to have a look at all the cool, cutting-edge technology underpinning some of 2019s best films.
The 2019 LION KING remake, for example, is incredibly technologically impressive and was shot with the best of the best resources and materials. For me, it was one step short of making a movie with actual human beings because it was that good. Keeping it feline, CATS is another film that has used ground-breaking technology and whether you love it or hate it, it’s always fun to see who takes home the golden statues and whether your predictions came true or not. A movie compile is never really complete without a bit of gang violence, breaking bad and men or boys who go against the law. If you fancy a bit of this yourself you will definitely need no one to tell you why THE IRISHMAN is just at the right place as the front runner in the nominations. The way technology was used to shave decades off our cinematic heroes 'Al Pacino', 'Robert De Niro', and 'Joe Pesci' is no other reason why it shouldn't win in all categories it was nominated for. A great movie like I always say never only depends on the actors but the whole crew; starting from the lights guy to the wardrobe assistant. It is such a shame that I can not go on to list the nominees for everything but come Sunday there will be the reveal.
Enough about the Oscars
New Things and My Feelings
I have had a bit of struggle since this year began and if you are regular on the blog you might know what. I have had to give up a lot in the last few weeks and while I am steady hoping they pay off, in the end, the eeyorish part of me will hope to prevail. It's been what? 38 days and I discovered that people are what you think they are sans the things they might have accomplished so never try to not be yourself because you feel like a second-fiddle to what they are. In simple Nigerian speak, "all na packaging". The newest thing is probably the fact that I have gotten more interested in Machine Learning and even if I never have to work in a firm because of it I am satisfied with learning to know it. The countdown for my week(s) off is ringing loud and I need to calm down because I might not have as much fun if I am this hyped about leaving work for a bit. My best girl shared wonderful news a few days ago and although it feels surreal it just went to show that we can never be the little us ever. When the time is right I shall reveal 😁
There is the slightest chance that for the hundredth time since I became an adult I am celebrating St. Valentine's day all by myself again. Such a bore! It almost feels like the curse of me; so a few months before Feb the 14th, I make huge plans with my significant other but ones the time's around the corner I automatically can not find said significant other. Next year this ends. No longer shall I be a laughing stock to myself because swears I am such a joke these days. The rest of the world I hope things are about to be lit on the 14th?
Its the weekend people Be Blessed
